The ceramic moor’s head are a typical product of Caltagirone, a city located 68 kilometres from Catania, among the UNESCO World Heritage sites. They can be seen on balconies and terraces and at the entrance of the houses, as perfect containers for flowers and aromatic plants. Waiting for the bus has transformed these handcrafted iconic objects into pieces of design, by customizing them with pop colours, monochrome versions with matt and gloss finishes or even mother-of-pearl, silver and gold.
Through the use of food colours, Wftb has expanded their use, transforming them into tableware and kitchen containers, which are dishwasher safe.
Wftb continues its colour research and the latest colour palette presented at the Salone del Mobile 2021 takes inspiration from the flavours and aromas of the hazelnut groves of the Nebrodi mountains and almond groves of Avola and their shades of brown and beige, glossy and matt.
