About
OBJECTS THAT PRESERVE PLACES, STORIES AND TIME THE MANIFESTO
Waiting for the Bus is a journey across Italy to rediscover its most authentic craftsmanship, from North to South. It is an exploration of materials, techniques, and heritage where Made in Italy still embodies tradition, passion, and manual skill. Hands that transform matter into objects rich with meaning, born from stories passed down through time.
The WFTB catalogue is a contemporary journal. A way to traverse places, meet artisans, and translate this heritage into essential and modern design projects. Each collection is born from the intersection of traditional technique and contemporary vision. Every object carries with it a place, a memory, a fragment of culture.
WFTB was born as a response to mass production, with the desire to preserve artisanal processes, local identities, and design quality.
The journey, which began in Sicily with the Caltagirone collection, continues through Vietri, Gubbio, Venice, Lissone, Milan, and Andria. It is a path that reinterprets local souvenirs with a contemporary touch. The challenge is to make something with a thousand-year history feel current, without losing its memory.
Know-how becomes a bridge between past and present. Tradition is transformed into design. Design becomes a language without time or borders.
